Connection between tensile testing machine units

The tensile testing machine will display all kinds of test data during the test, such as force value, test speed, displacement or deformation, so do you know what unit they are expressed in? What is the conversion relationship between different units? Today, we mainly analyze several important test data units, and the relationship between them is as follows. For other parameters such as voltage, power, weight and so on, we are very familiar with it, so we will not introduce it any more.

1、 Force value units mainly include n (n), kn (KN), kg (kg or kg), lb (LB), ton, etc. in the application of daily testing machine, the most involved units are cattle, kn, kg (kg), ton. The conversion between them is mainly divided into two types of conversion between Newton, the conversion between kg and Newton, and the conversion relationship is as follows:

1.10kn = 1000kg = 1T

2.1kg = 9.8N (actually 9.8, but in the daily application of testing machine, 1kg = 10N is usually used for the convenience of calculation)

2、 The common unit of test space is mm. For the vertical tensile testing machine, the test space is not very large. For the conventional model, it is 600 or 1000 mm, but for the special model, such as testing pipe, it can reach 3000 mm. The test space of horizontal tensile machine can also reach tens of meters, but no matter how many meters, the unit is usually expressed in mm, which may be related to the unit of test speed of testing machine.

3、 The common speed unit of testing machine is mm / min, which mainly represents the relationship between time and displacement. It is the most common displacement speed unit in the testing machine industry. For the standard of test speed, kn / S (loading speed) refers to the change of load per unit time, MPA / S (stress speed) refers to the change of internal stress per unit time. In particular, there is no conversion between mm / min and kn / s, because they refer to different control methods. Mm / min refers to the lifting speed of the beam, while kn / S is related to the material of the sample. If there is a special need to use kn / s, this unit needs technical personnel to communicate clearly.

In addition, the testing machine and hydraulic universal testing machine also follow the above unit and relationship when they are expressed.
