How to choose test fixture?

It can be considered from the following aspects:

1. Select the main fixture according to the maximum test force of the host, and the force that the test fixture can bear must be greater than or equal to the test force of the host.

2. Select some secondary fixtures according to the non-standard configuration or extended configuration (for example, if the sensor of extended configuration is 10kN, the maximum test force that the selected secondary fixture can bear should be greater than or equal to 10kN).

3. Select fixture according to customer sample, such as sample material, shape, requirement, reference standard, etc.

4. It is suggested that the user should communicate with the engineer of Jiangsu Tianyuan test when choosing the fixture;

5. Ensure that the selection of test fixture is customized for your own industry and industry standards.

Correct use of test fixture

1. The correct clamping of the sample is very important to the test, which will directly affect the success or failure of the test and the accuracy of the test data; if the size of the sample is unreasonable, or too long or too short, it will not work. Generally speaking, there are reference standards for experiments. Users can process samples according to the size specified in the standards. Do not change the sample size at will.

2. Make the force action line of the sample (or finished product or semi-finished product) coincide with the force action line of the sensor as far as possible.

3. When selecting the jaw, consult the manufacturer of universal testing machine. For samples with different diameters and thicknesses, the jaw selected is different. There are V-shaped jaw, plain jaw.

4. For the wedge clamp, the left and right centering of the specimen is ensured by the clamp, but it is easy to be tilted in front and back. After tilted, the force on both sides of the specimen is not uniform in the tensile process, which may tear the specimen or break point difference.

5. During clamping, parallel the front and back of the sample as much as possible, and then stretch it after parallel;

6. In the steel wire winding fixture, the line pressing can not occur, which will cause local stress concentration, and often break from the line pressing place, resulting in the breakpoint difference.

7. If the test fixture slips or breaks the jaw during use, contact the manufacturer in time to replace it with a new jaw. The jaw itself is a consumable, and the operator should check it regularly.

Now, because of the improvement of working environment and the need of large-scale test, the clamping mode of the fixture is upgraded from the original mechanical clamping to pneumatic clamping, hydraulic clamping, electric clamping and so on. The clamping mode can also be selected according to the test method and material.

If the customer has any questions during the use of the universal testing machine, he should consult the technical personnel of the universal testing machine manufacturer in time to help solve them. Don't disassemble the parts by himself without being sure, so as to prevent damage to the components of the testing machine.
