Working principle

Based on the Cleveland open cup method, the sample is placed in the Cleveland open cup and heated at a specified heating rate. During the heating process, the sample continuously evaporates to produce vapor. When the mixed gas formed by the sample vapor and the surrounding air reaches a certain concentration, a flash fire will occur when it contacts the specified ignition source. The lowest temperature at this time is the flash point. Continue heating. When the sample contacts the flame and can continue to burn for no less than 5 seconds, the lowest temperature is the ignition point.
